Travel readiness?

How amusing for a blog post title. Hopefully no one was waiting in front of their screen for our first official Europe2016 post. If so, we apologize as we (I) thought everything was working perfectly from a technology perspective with our blog. I hate to say it but “it was working great from home” but once on the road I realized that some of the funky url filtering and substitutions were not quite “production” ready. These residual issues caused great pains as we were not able to view/access any of our pictures. And what is a blog without any pictures!!! We are hopeful that our technical issues were mainly with the admin module but if anyone encounters any issues feel free to drop us a note (see below “About our blog”).

Finally, if anyone encounters any browser error messages, you may wish to confirm the following:
1) Ensure to have a “/” at the end of our blog url
(e.g. https://www.sunflowerit.ca/travel/)
2) Clear your browser cache

As we are heading to a small beach town (Nazare) for the next couple of days, we hope to catch up on a few posts.

This trip is different from previous Europe visit as Jenny and I are the only ones going. For the occasion, I was thinking of getting a pedicure but finally only Jenny did!

In pulling our luggage together, I realized how much technology we will be carrying with us. I wonder how folks did it before!

About our blog
==============

As many of you were told, we plan to experiment as much as possible with our self-hosted travel blog.

We created our own WordPress theme (customization) over the past few months. Hope that you find some time to visit the site and either try to leave us a comment at the bottom of a post (these comments are moderated – hence they need to be reviewed and accepted by us before they are displayed!) or leave us a brief message on the Contact Us page as this will send us an email of your message.
