As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, still active more than 8 months after it started, traveling options for most have been significantly limited. As we started to look at local travel destinations, we considered it a perfect time to go cycle the Petit Train du Nord bikepath in the Laurentides. The 200kms train track converted to a bicycle path, which starts in St-Jérome and extends to Mont-Laurier, has attracted many avid cyclists over the years. We opted to cycle to the start of the Petit Train du Nord bikepath and loop back home, part of the way, through another train track converted to a bicycle path: la Véloroute des Draveurs (72kms). Our planned cycling route itinerary should cover roughly 650km!
