By the time we finished our tour of the Three Gorge Dam complex and bused one hour to Yichang, it was already night time (~9:30pm). Thankfully upon on our arrival at the bus terminal, we had someone from our Yangtze Cruise Tour operator waiting for us to bring us to our hotel. The hotel was nice and comfortable – a clear improvement over the one from Chongqing. Given that our flight for Chengdu was not leaving until 11:30pm we had a whole day to kill. We visited the municipal amusement park, spent some time in the shopping mall to cool down and finally went to the movie to see ¨Harry Porter and the Half Blood Brother” (naturally in Chinese – no subtitle). After a late supper, we “enjoyed” a crazy taxi ride to the airport… I think my finger imprints are still on the dashboard!
