An overview of our proposed cycling itinerary.
When we had not yet returned from China last spring that I had already started thinking about a warm cycling destination to escape to next winter. Right after our return from a six month cycling in New Zealand and Australia, Jenny was adamant about enjoying a “stay-cation” for sometime. She was clearly not ready to entertain another cycling adventure but after a few months rest at home, she slowly warmed up to the idea of going south for a 3 month cycling adventure in Cuba over the winter months.
We were no strangers to Cuba as we had previously completed short, one and two weeks, cycling trips to Cuba. This time, our proposed 3-month time-frame would offer us the opportunity to undertake a grand cycling tour of the island – while hopefully providing us ample beach time to rest along the way.
We discovered sometime ago that Cuba was a very unique country offering both traveling challenges and rewards. As part of our trip preparation, we’ve attempted to mitigate the challenges associated with:
1) the limited access to internet
2) the limited sources of food supplies
